Here at Apex Vets, we hosted our annual Open Day and FREE Family Fun Day at our practice every year. We hosted our annual Open Day this year on Saturday, August 19th.
All the money made from the Open Day will be split evenly and donated to our two chosen charities, this year the chosen charities are Strathcarron Hospice and Falkirk Foodbank. Strathcarron Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support to people with a life-limiting illness or condition. Falkirk Foodbank provides families in need with food parcels, including pet food. They have been helping families since 2021.
We had our famous Apex Tombola with hundreds of fantastic prizes, an amazing stall selection, reptiles to see and hold (Racks4Reptiles), owl display to see and hold, practice tours, face painting, balloon modelling, kids games with prizes, bouncy castle, pawlympics, charity bake sale, street food from the Green Gannet snack van, charity book sale with selfie station and much more!
There was a brilliant turnout on the day with over 1,200 attending, (wow!) This is the most amount of people attending that we have ever had since 2012.
All the donations from the day totalled to £2063.50, which will be split equally between Falkirk Foodbank and Strathcarron Hospice. Meaning that each charity will be donated a whopping £1031.75!!
