Position: Animal Care Assistant

I’m Lewis and I’m an Animal Care Assistant at Apex Vets.  I currently live in Dunfermline, but I’m originally from Manchester where I spent most of my life.

I’m a graduate from Harper Adams University in Shropshire where I did a 4 year course in BSc (Hons) Animal Health and Welfare.  During that course, I worked for a year as a Wildlife Veterinary Technician at Cuan Wildlife Rescue. During that time I learnt just how much about the animal world there was left to learn!

Ever since I was young I’ve always been fascinated by the animal world, my guardians practically needed to tie me down to prevent me from running off into the local forests and rivers in search of life.  My family has had a myriad of pets from dogs, to snakes, to cockatiels – and someday soon I plan to get a small gathering of my own!

I play the piano and sing, and have used this at charity fundraisers before as a bit of fun for a good cause; and you can also catch me at a few track days from time to time.

Apex has been a wonderful place for me to help out as much as I can; and I look forward to developing as many skills as I can!
