We are expanding the Practice!

July 7, 2020

We are delighted to announce that we are expanding, and have just started building a shiny new reception area for the practice!

The new reception will be bigger, lighter and airier, with more seats and more space for lovely toys and games to keep your furry friends amused. There will be a dedicated cat waiting area as an extension of our Feline Friendly Clinic status. We will also be building 2 more consulting rooms (so going up to a total of 4 rooms) to allow us to see more patients and ease the backlog that we currently have first and foremost, then looking to the future to continue to expand our offering here at the practice.

We will let you all know when we’re going to open the new reception and consulting suite and look forward to you seeing it next time you visit.

Phase 2 of the project (to follow later in the summer) will involve us doubling up our theatre, kennel and imaging suite to allow us space for more advanced procedures to be done here. We regularly invite specialists to the clinic to the benefit of our patients who can access specialist treatment from right here in Denny and our new theatre suite will allow us to expand this service.

We will also invest in new equipment including a new x-ray machine, a new electrosurgery unit, a second operating theatre and a dedicated dentistry suite. Our dog ward will be upgraded with brand new larger beds for patients who come to spend the day or night with us. We will also install a dedicated exotics and isolation ward for the many exotic species that Sam Kerr sees at the practice who come from all over Scotland. Our cat patients will be welcomed to an all new cat ward with larger kennels for longer stay patients and a design based on the sound principles of the International Society of Feline Medicine.

Apex Vets will be a very different place by the end of 2020 (fittingly, a decade after we opened our doors and were welcomed with open arms by the clients we now see as friends) and we very much look forward to welcoming you all our loyal clients and patients to our new upgraded veterinary surgery!
