What is an ‘exotic’ pet?
An exotic pet can be classified as any pet that is not a cat, dog or rabbit. It includes the unusual, rare and the typically wild, as well as the more commonly kept small pets.
Our veterinary team at Winchester Avenue are regularly called to look after the relatively common ‘exotics’ (rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets etc.) with our vet Samuel having a particular interest in birds (such as parrots and birds of prey) and reptiles including Bearded Dragons, Tortoises, Chameleons, Geckos and many many more.
Our veterinary team also have an extensive client list of Rat keepers and we have extensive knowledge and experience in treating these lovely pets.
